Today I’d like to introduce Magic
Magic.
Today I’d like to introduce Magic. I met this very handsome man at a local equine rescue. I was wanting to offer some equine Reiki to some of the beautiful souls at the rescue and the wonderful staff recommended I work with Magic. When I met this sweet little guy, he was so completely shut down. His whole body would tremble if you tried to touch him, he was difficult to catch, he showed so much fear and distrust. After a few weeks working with him, he started to come closer to me and would quietly stand next to me, but still not want to be touched or patted. Unfortunately, due to my own circumstances, I couldn’t keep going into the rescue to see Magic but he was always on mind, I wanted to adopt him but I needed the right timing. Eventually I was able to adopt him and bring him to our property. He was still very shut down and distrustful but I could see in him, like all sentient beings, he just wanted to be loved, unconditionally loved which is what he gets from us. He has come out of his little shell. He can still be a shy boy, especially with strangers but he has the cutest little personality. His best mate here is Angel, who I’ll introduce tomorrow. He loves scratches and big pats but on his terms which is fine. He loves carrots, apples, and pretty much any horse treats. He’s a beautiful, brave, kind soul who is a much loved member of the Joyful Pilgrim crew.
