Beautiful Big Boy George!
George.
Today I would like to introduce our beautiful big boy George to you all. Most of the Joyful Pilgrim crew have come from various pet adoptions or rescues around Victoria. George was a little different, he came through a different channel to us from the Echuca horse sales. The poor boy was not in great shape when I went to pick him up, he was severely under weight, his coat was dull and he had no sparkle in his eyes. I don't know his full history but I know he was a pacer who raced throughout Victoria and NSW. He was severely shut down when he came to us, and very very head shy. He would panic just at the movement of your hand if it was near his face. Thankfully we have been able to work through a lot of his trauma.
Georgie boy is the head of the pack here. He doesn't tolerate any nonsense or foolishness from any of the other animals or humans and he will let us all know it. He loves his food, loves his treats, loves his neck and rump scratches. He loves a splash in the dam. His best mate is Mia who is pictured in a couple of photos with him and I will introduce Mia tomorrow. George is happy to join me in a meditation session and relaxes to the fullest. He's a sweet boy who knows his own mind and has quirky little mannerisms.
